Two legendary names in R&B will be honored in the final show of The Capri Theater's Legends season in Where is the Love? The music of Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack, both as solo artists and during their duets, brought a sophistication and soulful rarely seen then or now. Two of Minnesota's finest vocalists, Julius C. Collins III and Aimee K. Bryant, will bring these stars to life, backed by Sanford Moore and his trio. Expect to hear chart-topping tunes like "Where is the Love?" and "You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling." Learn More

What a great evening, and twas a pity that more people weren't there to enjoy it (without Goldstar I wouldn't have been there either!). Mighty Max was a great host, the music and musicians were fantastic. He closed with wonderful jazzy interpretations of Born to Run and Kitty's Back in Town.

Entering what F. Scott Fitzgerald might term the third act of an already celebrated career, Max Weinberg presents the Max Weinberg Big Band. Building upon his seventeen years as the leader of what Tom Shales, famed TV critic of the Washington Post, called “the best band in late night television,” the Max Weinberg Big Band is a bold, swinging fifteen-piece aggregation that continues the traditions established by Max’s musical heroes — among whom Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Doc Severinsen, and Maynard Ferguson lead the pack.
