Sun Mee Chomet was six months old when her Korean family gave her up for adoption to an American family. How to Be a Korean Woman chronicles the acclaimed local actor, dancer and playwright's return to Seoul to meet her birth family and discover who she really is. Combining storytelling, music and movement, this hilarious, heartfelt and uniquely personal solo show explores themes of family, love, adulthood, motherhood and the universal longing to know one's past. Following a recent sold-out run at the Guthrie Theater, Chomet now brings How to Be a Korean Woman to Sabes Jewish Community Center for one show only. Learn More

The show was entertaining and the acting was decent. The premise was somewhat unique; although different than what I expected based on the show's description. The focus didn't seem to be so much on the main character being cast as the "last girl"...continued
The production is recommended for mature audiences.
