The old-timey charm of '30s movie musicals comes to the live stage in Saddleback Civic Light Opera's take on the all song-and-dance musical Dames at Sea. An affectionate spoof of the grand and glorious (and frequently over-the-top) productions of that era, Dames follows small-town girl Ruby as she pursues her Broadway dreams in the Big Apple and falls in love with Dick, a songwriting sailor who makes for a great partner-in-duet. The cast was terrific...the voices were great...I thought it was so well done and professional and i enjoyed every minute.

We were very impressed with the talent and the seats were actually awesome. The college does some wonderful shows and we are never disappointed.

The story line was fun. The voices of all cast was excelent. The staging worked well. The pace was smooth & the transitions flowed well. The choreography fit & was performed perfectly. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire performance!
