Go, go, go Joseph! Before their work on the smash hits Evita and Cats, the British musical team of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice created this modern twist on the ancient Biblical tale of Joseph, favorite son of Jacob. Joseph is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers. But when they come to Egypt to beg for food, he reveals himself as the brother they betrayed years before. Set to a grab bag of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock 'n' roll, the musical features the classic songs "Any Dream Will Do," "Close Every Door" and more. Saddleback Civic Light Opera presents this family-friendly classic.

Hadn't seen this musical in ten years and was sooo impressed with how well the performance went. The singing and dancing were tops. Such a wonderful interpretation by the lead Tim Fitzsimons, and the young lady portraying the narrator. And, how could I forget the Elvis-like Pharao. Hard not to include all the performers. Really a great, great deal of talent. Wonderful show!!!

Good vocal performances from the leads. Some issues with microphones, but the conductor was sensitive to that and pulled back the orchestra. Lovely orchestra, set, and costumes. Full house - and a standing "O" tells the tale better than I could.

Great performance. This show is much better than what I anticipated. This is the first time I've been to this theatre and I love it. All of the seats were great with excellent view of the stage. My kids (13 & 15) also enjoyed the show. If I have time, I would definitely go see it again.

The production was very well done. The actors were all very good. The scenery was nicely executed. The theater is small so there is no such thing as a bad seat.

I would have paid MORE than full price to see that show! It was A-MAY-ZING! The production quality, acting, singing, choreography, costumes, music... I mean EVERYTHING... was top notch. It was funny and I couldn't wipe the smile from my face the entire time. Congratulations and well done to Saddleback College and everyone involved. My girlfriend and I were thoroughly impressed, and she's the one who usually goes to see professional theater productions ... and I usually am not into musicals! Go figure. I'm recommending it to friends and family. The only downside is that I wished it had lasted longer.

It is an amazing show and VERY funny too! There is a calypso number, an Elvis number, a French number, a cowboy dance...and much more! Super entertaining! The show runs about 1hr and 15min, so it's not too long for the kids.

I thought the cast was strong and professional. They're opening night was clean and fun. I am not a big fan of this show generally but this time I truly enjoyed it. Well done and highly recommend it. It moves quickly and does not drag. Go see it!

Choreo and singing were TOP NOTCH! I took my 5 year old, who is notoriously antsy during plays but I didn't have to shush him even once. He was clapping along with the music and whooping after every song. Even after we left, he was talking about it and singing the songs the whole drive home!
