After getting his start in Motown as part of the Commodores, singer-songwriter Lionel Richie became one of the most successful male solo artists of the 1980s, with hits like "Truly," the Caribbean-flavored "All Night Long," "Endless Love" with Diana Ross, "Hello" and "Say You, Say Me," which also won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. Richie's concerts tend to become giant sing-alongs, so brush up on your lyrics and get ready for a night of magic. Sharing the stage with the five-time Grammy winner will be CeeLo Green. Known for his solo career as well as being a part of the soul duo Gnarls Barkley, Green has recorded numerous hits and is most widely recognized for the chart-topping single "Crazy" and his time as a judge on The Voice. We waited until 4pm to go. That was smart as the people we wanted to see started at 5:50. We liked the show and the variety. It would have been nice if a line up was available beforehand so we could plan a little better instead of being hit or miss.
Lilith Fair, the traveling music festival that celebrates women in music, is returning for 2010. This year, the festival will feature eleven acts on three stages, including Heart, The Bangles, founder of the festival Sarah McLachlan, Miranda Lambert and Colbie Caillat. Lilith Fair, founded in 1997 by musician Sarah McLachlan and executives from Nettwerk Records, has raised over $10 million for women's charities.
About the Ticket Supplier: Lilith Fair Productions Ltd.From 1997 through 1999, Lilith Fair was one of the highest grossing touring festivals in the world, with over 1.5 million fans in attendance and raising over $10 million dollars for national and local charities. Founded by Grammy-award winning artist Sarah McLachlan along with Dan Fraser, Marty Diamond and Terry McBride, Lilith Fair was the only tour of its kind--a celebration of women in music featuring artists like Sheryl Crow, Christina Aguilera, Erykah Badu, The Dixie Chicks, Missy Elliot, The Pretenders, Nelly Furtado, Jewel, Queen Latifah, Indigo Girls, Tegan and Sara and of course, Sarah McLachlan.
Nearly 6 months ago, Nettwerk CEO and Lilith Fair co-founder Terry McBride announced that the all-female festival would make its return in Summer 2010.
