Tower of Power brings their original "Oakland style" soul music to San Jose along with co-headliners (and one of the greatest bands of all time), WAR. Tower of Power are celebrating more than 40 years of musical success, with a long list of hits, including "You're Still A Young Man," "So Very Hard To Go," "Soul With a Capital S" and many more. Joining them at City National Civic of San Jose (formerly San Jose Civic) are WAR, whose special blend of funk, rock, jazz and R&B has resulted in smash hit songs like "Low Rider" and "Why Can't We Be Friends?" and sales of more than 50 million records worldwide. With appearances everywhere from the videogame Grand Theft Auto San Andreas to the movie Boogie Nights, WAR's music has become a funky thread in the quilt of American pop culture. Learn More

The event was poorly organized. The concert was set to begin at 2:30. They proceeded to allow people in and then make us wait for an hour to gain acccess to lawn seats. Then they changed the lineup and basically we waited until 5:30 to see a live performance on the main stage. Between each act they waited an hour. We finally saw Sarah at 10 pm and she sang about 7 songs. What a complete waste of a day. Maybe next time say it's going to start at 5:30 and don't make people sit that long. LAME

We waited until 4pm to go. That was smart as the people we wanted to see started at 5:50. We liked the show and the variety. It would have been nice if a line up was available beforehand so we could plan a little better instead of being hit or miss.
Lilith Fair, the traveling music festival that celebrates women in music, is returning for 2010. This year, the festival will feature eleven acts on three stages, including Heart, The Bangles, founder of the festival Sarah McLachlan, Miranda Lambert and Colbie Caillat. Lilith Fair, founded in 1997 by musician Sarah McLachlan and executives from Nettwerk Records, has raised over $10 million for women's charities.
About the Ticket Supplier: Lilith Fair Productions Ltd.
From 1997 through 1999, Lilith Fair was one of the highest grossing touring festivals in the world, with over 1.5 million fans in attendance and raising over $10 million dollars for national and local charities. Founded by Grammy-award winning artist Sarah McLachlan along with Dan Fraser, Marty Diamond and Terry McBride, Lilith Fair was the only tour of its kind--a celebration of women in music featuring artists like Sheryl Crow, Christina Aguilera, Erykah Badu, The Dixie Chicks, Missy Elliot, The Pretenders, Nelly Furtado, Jewel, Queen Latifah, Indigo Girls, Tegan and Sara and of course, Sarah McLachlan.
Nearly 6 months ago, Nettwerk CEO and Lilith Fair co-founder Terry McBride announced that the all-female festival would make its return in Summer 2010.
