It's been 75 years since The Wizard of Oz brought to life the magical, musical tale of young Dorothy and her adventures after her house gets carried away in a Kansas tornado. Released in 1939 and starring a teenage Judy Garland, the film has since become a rite of passage for kids of all ages with its catchy tunes and the lovable Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and Scarecrow, whom Dorothy befriends during her quest to get back home. The film's still as fresh, frightening and funny as ever, and now you can enjoy it on the big screen and accompanied by the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra performing Harold Arlen's score. Constantine Kitsopoulos conducts, and it's a pretty sure bet you'll be humming "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" all the way home. Come dressed as your favorite character and you might even win a prize! Green Day’s American Idiot recently completed a run in London to rave reviews, the final engagement on a 10-week UK tour that has been met with thunderous acclaim across the country. The show was nominated in December, 2012 as the Best Regional Production in the West End’s What’s On Stage.com Awards and chosen as the No. 1 Show by London Metro. This is the same show and the same cast that will be performing at the State Theatre.
_American Idiot contains adult content and strong language, and is strongly recommended for those ages 15 and older.
