Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and one of Rolling Stone Magazine's greatest 100 guitarists of all time, Dickey Betts and his band Great Southern bring their brand of country-blues rock to the State Theatre stage. Betts helped form the Allman Brothers Band as a second lead guitarist and singer in the late '60s. In addition to matching bandleader Duane Allman lick for lick, Betts also wrote such memorable songs as "Ramblin' Man," "Jessica" (which won him a Grammy), "No One to Run With" and the instrumental hit "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed." Super-goosey-gassy-freaky-outy-turny-onny! As a former "HAiR" cast member - (Rock Talent Productions National Tour 1974-75) I never miss an opportunity to re-live the glorious and wonderful experience that is "HAiR". This production did not disappoint! Fabulous voices, costumes and sets! Smokin' band! The young energetic cast seemed to really have an understanding for the world-changing time that took place long before they were born. Thank you to Goldstar for making this awesome experience so easy and affordable! Peace, Love & "HAiR" forever!
