Back when Colbie Caillat auditioned in the early days of American Idol
, she was just another untested performer peddling her own song, "Bubbly." No one knew -- certainly not the judges who rejected her -- that Caillat would later become an online sensation and then a genuine, chart-topping star. As for "Bubbly," it would reach the #1 spot on the charts, the first of her many hit singles. It all started when she was signed to Universal Republic Records after attracting a cult following on Myspace. Caillat's first album Coco
quickly sold five million copies around the world. Later, a duet with Jason Mraz entitled "Lucky" lived up to its name and her won her a Grammy. Another Grammy nomination soon followed for her second album, the aptly-titled Breakthrough
. Now, Caillat comes to the State Theatre to perform the songs from her incredible (and still young) career, including "Realize," "The Little Things," "Fallin' for You," and -- of course -- "Bubbly."
