Raised in Cherry Hill, award-winning violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg returns to her New Jersey home for a special Russian-themed concert co-starring the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. Dubbed a "fiercely original, deeply emotive violinist" by The Washington Post, Salerno-Sonnenberg is famed for her fearlessness and versatility, not to mention her virtuosity. She'll be joined by conductor Pavel Kogen and the MSSO for Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Minor. The acclaimed Russian orchestra will also perform the overture to Dvorak's Carnival and Shostakovich's triumphant Symphony No. 5 in D Minor, which premiered to an ecstatic reception in Leningrad in 1937. One of my most memorable evenings. A life long wish to hear those boys and they far exceeded my expectation. What a tremendous gift they were given and now share with the world.
The theater is absolutely beautiful and another surprise.

A very enjoyable evening filled with great classical music pieces and sweet boys with impressive singing voices. No gimmicks, no forced attempts to please the crowd, just 24 boys and their conductor/pianist. A brilliant idea in its simplicity and...continued
