Members Who Went Said:Musical showcased great young talent.
Traicye I enjoyed HarlemStage's presentation of "Ain't Misbehavin'"! It was interesting to see the show expand to a cast of 20 when it was originally set for 5 vocalists. A few of the main cast members, namely Alexandra Bernard, Danyel Fulton, Nathaly Lopez, and the young man who sings "'T'ain't Nobody's Bizness" are truly destined for Broadway! You might be surprised by how many Fats Waller tunes you know (or don't know), but you'll definitely come away singing! The entire show was great! And what they were able to do with the space and limited props/set changes was amazing. It would be great to see this version make it big, even with Ruben Studdard and Frenchie Davis scheduled to do a revival of the original later this year. Parking is free, although, there aren't any restaurants nearby. You'll have to grab something from a bodega or a place you find on Amsterdam. See this show!!!!
Robert Evans Looking for cheap events, hoping to share next year with friends and families in West Harlem I've worked in Harlem schools with the woman who went with me, and she lives in Harlem. We both wondered where all this musical talent for the cast of Harlem Repertory Company came from, since music is cut out of most schools now in Harlem.
