Excellent all the way around: knowledgable narrator (and you could hear him from anywhere on vessel), very nice food and drink options - also plentiful, super-helpful crew. ('Nice to see a couple of hard-working women in it, too.) Lots of value for the money - thanks, Goldstar and the crew of the Manhattan! (And don't forget to tip your crew generously, everyone!)Written on May 27 2011

A picture perfect afternoon. The guide was excellent. Lots of interesting anecdotes and open to questions. Our fellow passengers were from all over the world and gave another perspective. The weather was clear and sunny which didn't hurt at all!Written on May 18 2012

It was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was informative and gave us a wonderful overview of the geography and highlights of Manhattan and surrounding islands and communities. We were treated royally with lovely refreshments.Written on May 28 2011

This was the maiden voyage for the architectural boat tour, and my friend and I really enjoyed it. Loved the little trivia here and there about the buildings and neighborhoods. The boat was clean and beautiful. I will take this tour again and again, and I can't wait to see how it improves.Written on Jun 14 2010

Description
Step aboard the teak decks of the Manhattan, our elegant, 1920s style yacht, for a leisurely 'round-Manhattan architecture tour, hosted by architects and members of the local AIA (American Institute of Architects) chapter.
Experience a comfortable and unique round-Manhattan trip through the Hudson, East and Harlem Rivers. Sit back and enjoy the gorgeous 360-degree view of the island from the climate-controlled and enclosed back-deck observatory or wander to the outer decks for fresh air & sunlight with a glass of wine in hand. (Guests are treated to a complimentary beverage from the bar & light hors d' oeuvres.)
On this 2.75 hour cruise, you will completely circumnavigate the entire island of Manhattan (passing under all 18 bridges) while taking in the sites, the architecture & tour designed by the AIA.
Some highlights from your expert guide include:

About the Ticket Supplier: Classic Harbor Line LLC
Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner.
Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor's Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River.
The 1920s-style motor yacht "Manhattan," also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
