The Metropolitan Room is housed in a landmark 1898 building. This vintage space now plays host to an updated take on the idea of a music club, combining state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems with old-world charm and style. Similar to the high-end equipment used in concert halls, these systems fill the room with crisp, clear sound to generate unparalleled cabaret and jazz performances.
<p>To mark the 100th year of The Grand Concourse (in the Bronx), artistic director, Andrew Apel, along with Cabaret's Crown prince, Steve Ross, have created a cabaret series, celebrating the centennial, by singing not only the songs of, but the praises of the artists "Born in the Bronx." They have even commissioned a new song, in honor of the Grand Concourse, written by Ray Jessel (born in the Bronx of Great Britain ...
