The Harlem Gospel Choir, the most famous gospel choir in America and one of the preeminent gospel choirs worldwide, brings the music of Harlem and the black church to Times Square in a joyous celebration of high-energy, hand-clapping singing and dancing. Made up of the finest singers and musicians from Harlem's black churches and the New York/Tri-State area, the choir strives to create a better understanding of African-American culture and make the world a more loving and peaceful place. Allen Bailey was inspired to create the choir in 1986 after attending a celebration at Harlem's Cotton Club in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. That inspiration can be felt in the music today, as the choir's uplifting songs of hope touch the soul and raise the spirit. Excellent show! Very entertaining! And BB Kings was a great venue too - with decent, but not great food.

My plans changed. Thought I was meeting up with a few people but they bailed out. I ended up going alone and wasn't to sure what to expect! but... I was surprise how nice its set up. I've been to BB Kings before for another show and new about the table set up. But it was like hanging out with old friends. Everyone knew Billy Joel's songs and they all sang along! The band is great. Every song was fun and exact. People were going wild requesting songs. At the end we got a special treat. I young boy around 10 years old performed "Piano Man". His performances was outstanding! this is a must see. A couples night. A girls night. A friends night! Good times.

p.s they did seem to get tired and changed it up to other bands like journey. that I didn't like. I went to hear "Billy Joel" not to see an old woman dance around on the chairs and request "sweet home alabama". very cheesy. But they are still a good band. I will have to agree and say it was more like a wedding or corporate event.

This group was great. They sounded just like the real thing! I liked that they played some of the lesser known songs. It was a lot of fun!

Big Shot is terrific, by far and away the best cover band I've ever seen. It's really like seeing the actual Billy Joel--and in an intimate venue, as opposed to Madison Square Garden. BB King's is a nice venue too -- not a bad seat in the house.
