Known for her robust voice and rich tones, jazz vocalist Renee Manning came to fame in the jazz world as a big band singer with the Mel Lewis Orchestra from 1983 to 1989 -- the longest tenure of any vocalist associated with the organization. She's since performed with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Sir Roland Hanna, Mark Murphy, Howard Johnson, Joe Williams, the Mingus Big Band and the Chico O'Farrill Afro-Cuban Orchestra. As a solo artist, Manning's most recent album, All Grown Up, showcases the Grammy-nominated singer's soothing, quieter side. Learn More

The band and lead singer were great...better than Bob Dylan, himself.
Lots of hits and a few surprise songs. Band members included former
Dylan band members. They played for over two hours without an intermission. BB Kings is a great venue with good sightlines, and a sound system that doesn't blow out your ears. I loved it!

Highway 61 Revisited recreates Bob Dylan’s greatest music and stage shows, featuring the songs that made Bob Dylan a cultural icon and legend: “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” “Like A Rolling Stone,” “Hurricane,” “Tangled Up in Blue,” and “All Along the Watchtower,” as well as new hits like “Things Have Changed.” For this tour, Highway 61 Revisited will specially feature songs from the 1975-1976 Bob Dylan Rolling Thunder Revue tour, including “Isis,” “One More Cup of Coffee,” “Joey,” and many more. With an acoustic and an electric set, fans of all ages will revel in experiencing Bob Dylan again, or for the first time! The poetry, symbolism, and power of Bob Dylan’s greatest performances still resonate today, thanks to Highway 61 Revisited.
