Whether you're new to the brew or an experienced ale aficionado, this Brewery of the Month tasting, happening every Monday at downtown's Village Pourhouse, allows you to tap into the latest in craft and microbrews. An experienced beer sommelier will be on hand to guide guests through the basics of beer tasting, with samples of five master-crafted brews as examples of the unique balances between hops and barley. From lagers and ales to stouts and porters, this event covers all the important beer bases. As a bonus, you'll receive a full bottle or pint of your favorite sample to enjoy at the end of the class.

I bought this for my boyfriend's birthday & invited a bunch of our friends also. There was 9 of us. We had such a blast! There was plenty of beer for tasting & our host, Mick, was very friendly & knowledgeable. It was the perfect, casual, low key birthday that my boyfriend wanted!Totally worth the price. Would definitely do this again!

This was the best beer tasting that I have experienced through Goldstar. The group was small enough that it turned into a class and the group leader was very knowledgeable and quite entertaining. All the beer was from Abita, a Louisiana brewery, providing a broad range of beers for different tastes.

Mick was a solid host and teacher. He gauged the group and adjusted his methods accordingly. The class was informative and entertaining. We were there as part of a birthday party for a friend and I believe everyone was pleasantly surprised at how much they enjoyed it.

Come every Monday for some delicious brews as beer experts walk you through the basics of beer 101 followed by a guided tasting! Each one is unique - from crisp lagers and flavorful ales, to robust stouts, porters, and everything in between!

Your ticket includes tasting notes for samples of five master-crafted beers, as well as a bottle or pint of your favorite one at the end of the class. New breweries will be featured every month, so come experience the best of NYC beer culture!
