Description

"Drinks are okay… they break the ice.
Dancing this way… is paradise.
But why delay the friendliest thing two people can do?"
--Ervin Drake

New York City cabaret singer Suzanne Carrico returns to The Metropolitan Room after the successful debut of her 2007 show The Art of the Cahn. A musical romp through The Great American Songbook of the past (Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, Harold Arlen) and present (William Bolcum, Jimmy Roberts, Carole Bayer Sager, Melissa Manchester) featuring well and lesser known music dealing with the allure, the search for, the disappointments, the pleasure, the confusion, the implications, the regrets and the fun of "the friendliest thing".

Directed by cabaret legend Mary Cleere Haran, with arrangements written and played by Tedd Firth on piano and Steve Doyle on bass, the evening promises to be one that should not be missed!
