We boarded the yacht at Pier 59 (NOT 61 as ticket may indicate) and were greeted by the Captain Mary Pat and her 2 assistants. There were complimentary peanuts and unlimited non alcoholic beverages. I had wonderful Mango Tea. They gave us a poker chip for an alcoholic beverage, however I didn't use mine. We cruised around Battery Park up the East RIver to just below the Empite State Building. Turned around and cruised back to Pier 59. There were nice illustrated books to reference the buildings we passed by. The 2 bathrooms were impeccable and nicely decorated. The crew was extremely nice and the yacht was beautiful. Perfect for an hour and a half cruise. A very friendly lady named Dorothy greeted us and gave us our boarding passes.

We had a fabulous time. The Captain and crew were great, the other passengers were fun, and we were able to spend 90 minutes enjoying the city from the deck of a fabulous boat.

This cruise was AWESOME! Although there were other people onboard with us, we felt like we had the boat to ourselves! The ride was thrilling, the crew was super-nice and our "complimentary beverage" was refreshing (see pic)! We both had locally brewed NYC beers in the bow with the wind in our hair!

I strongly recommend this adventure. GREAT

Amazing boat ride !! The crew was fabulous and I would definitely go again. It was spacious and cute ship. They even served a complimentary drink ! Woop ! A lovely sightseeing and relaxing trip.

Also, the check in process was simple and obvious... no confusion looking for the pier. Just a note however, the cafe by the pier is way overpriced... due to Chelsea pier standards. $3 Powerade says it all. They also do not let you sit down unless you order table service which everything has a dollar upcharge... a little too much ridiculousness since they have plently of seating room.

    perfect afternoon ride!!

the boat was very clean, small & intimate, well kept, & comfortable.

the staff was exceptional. everyone was friendly, and helpful. they really took pride in their boat and went the extra mile to make everyone happy.

for example there were flowers arrangements out on every table, the captain gave everyone a quick history of sites around the river and i was celebrating a birthday along with two other people; one of the crew members came out and played happy birthday on his saxophone!

    great time!

Very relaxing evening boat ride - yes it's just one glass of champagne but the view's ( I've never been that close to the Statue of Liberty on a boat), the comfort of the Manhattan and the freindliness of the crew make this a worth while Adventure

We live in NJ and I work in NY so it's definitely not the first time seeing the city like this. We took our 7 year old and 3 year old and they LOVED this. They thought they were so cool. The weather was beautiful, the crew was pleasant, and the sights/views were as awesome as ever. For the price we paid, this was a perfect little "getaway" for our family. Note though, if you have a 3 year old, you do need a ticket for them even though the Goldstar website says that you don't.

Amazing boat ride - the yacht is small and perfect for a trip with friends or a romantic getaway from ol' boring tourist New York. We were 9 people altogether so there was plenty of room. The inside has small tables and couches and a fully stocked bar and the crew of three was very friendly throughout. Very very nice!

I took my 10 year old son to this boat ride and really didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful boat, the flower arrangements, and the comfortable, padded seats with throw cushions. My son absolutely loved it and thanked me again and again for taking him. He loved the front of the boat, with the wind blowing and the boat rocking through the waves. The staff was very genial and helpful. "Capt. Mike" pointed out the landmarks, what to look for, and the history of certain places. I'd highly recommend this to all, but especially for tourists. What a great way to tour the island!

The captain was very informative and gave us lots of historical information..
Would do it again..Loved the glass of wine - it was a nice touch and free unlimited non-alcoholic beverages..

This is the second time I've been on this cruise. It's a great deal, whether you are lucky and get one of the free tickets or even if you pay the regular Goldstar rate. It's always nice to be on the water when you're in NYC, but the Classic Harbor Lines crew makes it a great experience. The boat is relatively small and everyone is very friendly. When you are done, stop by Chelsea Brewing Company--it's at the south end of the Chelsea Piers complex.

This cruise was FANTASTIC! I had been on another 'cruise' with a friend which featured a Led Zepplyn tribute band and I was fearing this 'cruise' would be the same, but it wasnt. My previous experience was loud, boystrous music, a dingey boat with a lot of people on board. This cruise was relaxing, quiet and interesting. The boat was furnished extremely well with plush cushions on all the seats and fresh flowers on every table. The free drink was a wonderful bonus also! I cannot praise the captain and crew enough for the warm welcome and information on board as we travelled around Manhattan. Thank you guys!

The boat was easy to find. The line was a little confusing as there were people waiting to get on the boat and those to pick up tickets... The boat was immaculate and comfy. The crew very friendly. The first drink is complimentary and umlimited non alcoholic beverages. The bathrooms were very nice. The captain pointed out some sights as we went along, but didn't provide a lot commentary once we traveled up the east river. all is all it was a great 90 minute ride, i'd do it again!

I missed this cruise but attended the 6.30p one (for $10 more per ticket). However I'm really happy I did, the 6.30 one was so romantic. The scenery was great, NYC on a summer evening is so beautiful by boat. The champagne was decent, I love the fact that most of the drinks were from NY wineries or breweries. The crew was friendly but I could barely understand what the captain was saying. I LOVED the music, it fit so well. I highly recommend the evening cruise but would definitely do the afternoon one.

Goldstar delivers again...a beautiful outing on a lovely vessel. Everything about the cruise exceded expectations. They sell a wonderful cheese platter for $15. We didn't buy it but some other folks did and it looked yummy and well worth the money. The crew was friendly and very helpful too. This is one that I would do again and again.

This was a great event to attend!!! What a lovely time it was! The views of New York, a little of wine, a lot of great pictures to remember, very friendly staff!!! Totally worth the time, the money, and everything else! Also, there is a great cafe right next to the pier, they made one of the best tuna sandwiches I recently tried. It was great to have that as a snack on the yach.
The only thing missing - a bathing suit!
Great for romantic dates - I wish I had my boyfriend with me there
It was kinda hard to find the pier, but I am not a NY native...

This was a great cruise around Downtown on a small yacht. It didn't feel as touristy as some of the others. The staff was nice and it wasn't too crowded. The first drink was free as advertised and they had a good selection of beers and wines. Soft drinks were free, too. I'll definitely be back with out-of-town visitors.

Such a pretty boat, no more than 20 people on it so its almost like a private tour. There is construction around the piers so you need to board near the Chelsea Piers. My husband and I went in October so it was pretty chilly so you should definitely grab a jacket. It was nice and relaxing. I would recommend it to anyone!

This boat was so lovely. Cushioned seats with pillows. Hardly any people were on our boat (4:30-6:00PM time) which was just fine with us, we felt like we had the boat to ourselves. we got a free glass of yummy champagne and the champagne was only $6 per cup if you wanted more. They provided delicious chocolate cakes. They even gave you a deal on 2 for 1 drinks from one bridge to another. The crew is also super friendly and should be tipped well. All in all this was the best boat ride I have ever been on.

We had a lovely time. It was father's day and my husband enjoyed the scenery. My daughter helped the captain steered the boat, of course, she did not want to get off. She has told everyone at our church that they all should go. My son also enjoyed himself quite well and wanted to go back another time. As for me, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, especially when the captain asked that my daughter helped him steered the boat.

We so enjoyed this cruise. When we got to the Pier to pick up our tickets, my husband commented about the wood on the smallest boat in the dock, and how beautiful it looked. I looked at it, and said," That's the one we are going on." The ship is beautiful, yes, smaller than I had expected, but well maintained, and the crew was friendly and informative. It was a very cool windy day, still we managed to stay outside for most of the cruise. We were informed there were blankets on board if we so desired. I definitely recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a delightful peaceful way to spend 90 minutes.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This was an awesome day out on the water. The weather was great, the captain and mates were extremely friendly and the boat is very nice. We had a small group with us, which made the ride very intimate. We learned about some places we were not aware of and what they meant to the city. Amazing views, amazing weather, tons of fun. Do it! Great for the value. The only down fall was that it's only 90 minutes.

This cruise was the perfect way to spend a hot, breezy afternoon. The three crew members were very friendly, and there were only about 10-12 passengers, with more than enough room to relax either on deck or in the spacious, well-furnished cabin. I live in New York, and I would definitely do this event again with out-of-town guests!

Your registration information states that a refund will be given if the cruise is canceled. However you have worked out a deal with the cruise company to never have them say the cruise is canceled! Friday was pouring rain and almost 30 mile per hour winds. The cruise company was offering a credit for another cruise because of the weather conditions but because I booked through you I was not eligible for such a credit. Therefore I had to forfeit my tickets. This is bad business. I have used your service quite often and have recommended Goldstar to many friends. I will never use Goldstar again and will make sure none of my friends do either.

The cruise was really nice and dreamy. It was a great experience way more pleasant than riding on the big boats. The "Manhattan" is a really beautiful and comfortable boat. The captain and the crew are totally nice and so were the other passengers. You have the feeling that you are a millionaire aboard your own private yacht: that's nice! So dress posh and cool, and go nowhere else, it's splendid.

Thought our trip would be cancelled because it was thunderstorming, but we still went out and the rain stopped a few minutes in. There's a lovely inside section with many windows, so we didn't mind sitting inside with fresh flowers on little tables even after the rain stopped. The crew must have wiped the outside seats dry once the rain stopped. A free first round of wine, sparkling wine or beer was included with the ticket. And we had some free cokes too. We enjoyed the narration by the captain and the music as well. So much better than a crowded, larger boat, and with the Goldstar discount, it was an amazing deal.

I really enjoyed this cruise. I had expected it to be on one of the large ferry-like boats, but it was on a charming little yacht. It was really lovely to see New York City from the water. The tour guide told us some interesting facts and pointed out famous buildings and areas. I even brought along my native New Yorker friend and she had a great time!

My boyfriend and I loved the cruise. It was a 90 degree day but just perfect on the water. Staff was very friendly and the boat was not crowded so it had a very relaxed and leisure feel to it. Great value with the goldstar price!

A wonderful way to spend an hour and a half on a beautiful day! The narration of what we were passing was great! The champagne and crew were bubbly! We had a GREAT time and would recommend this to everyone! AND we're native NYC residents - not tourist - so even we jaded folk were impressed! So MUCH better than the crowded sardine can rides!

Excellent, excellent service. Of course, you can't possibly beat the view. Great for seasoned New Yorkers (I've kayaked on the Hudson and had two parties on this same company's schooners) and newbies alike (my 17-year-old cousin had never been to New York, and it was a terrific introduction to some critical parts of New York--both its history and its sights.

The crew was immensely helpful, good hearted and pleasant during my cruise with my elderly Mother.
They were also able to answer a lot of questions from the guests about local buildings, history, etc.

My fiance's parents were in the city, so we decided to take them on this cruise. We all had a fantastic time, despite the rain. The first round was on the house, and then we ordered a bottle of sparkling wine, which was surprisingly good at $20 a bottle. We also ordered a cheese plate, which was fresh and delicious. Overall, a really wonderful time out in the harbor.

I took my relatives from overseas on this cruise. Since they didn't have a lot of time to spend in New York, I was trying to find a way to show them as much of New York as I could in one day. This cruise was a great idea! The boat sails near the Statue of Liberty and we were able to take a lot of absolutely stunning pictures.
The boat is neat, the crue is polite and knowledgeable. Complementary first drink added to our enjoynment.

This 90 minute long cruise made for a great day. Beautiful boat! They took us down the Hudson River past the Statue of Liberty & South Street Seaport, & up the East River. The crew was excellent. The captain narrated the sites as we went by. First drink is free, including local beer. I highly recommend this trip.

It was a great experience. I live in New Jersey & do not get to fully appreciate New York City too often. They give you great information about the sights you are seeing on the boat. Inside and outside seating, which was great when we encountered a Summer storm. Complimentary drinks are offered after you leave the pier. It was cool and comfortable in the inside seating area, great on a humid summer day.

Loved the cruise! The reviews and comments on this blog were a huge help. Our cruise was just yesterday - July 22nd - and we had the perfect cruise weather. We did not need a sweater or jacket as one of the bloggers mentioned. The crew was awesome - helpful, approachable, knowledgeable – wow; the captain really knows NY’s history; he provided a very educational NY tour/cruise. They were also very polite and pleasant - specifically Jaffa, her daughter and husband - what a nice family!

I definitely recommend this cruise - Manhattan yacht - to anyone!

It was a fun 90 minutes, on a small boat with about 20 people...so we had plenty of room to spread out. They gave us a free drink...choice of wine, champaign, beer or soda. The guide was fine...well worth the price.

The views were spectacular, the crew a great bunch, the refreshments good and the whole experience worthwhile. A wonderful way to see Manhatten and the boroughs....and bridges! A tip...park in a lot on 10th Ave between 17th and 18th Street...$14 for up to 12 hours, and a few minutes walk to the pier 62.. Montreal Canada

My parents and I really enjoyed this cruise as a treat on the afternoon of my birthday. Its a beautiful boat with very nice seating and terrific staff. I would have appreciated more commentary about the landmarks, history, etc., but the ambiance music was great and the people aboard were extremely friendly. The photos are perfect! The drinks were good too. We brought some picnic food on the boat with us to enjoy for lunch. Overall it was a delightful experience.

The yacht is beautiful and brand new. We were greeted by the Captain and the staff who were very friendly throughout the cruise. They had complimentary beverages and champagne. We cruised around Battery Park and up the East River to just below the Empire State Building and then cruised back to the Pier. It was a wonderful experience and very well done. In addition the 2 bathrooms were impeccable and nicely decorated and the crew was great.

Very pleasant cruise with 4 sitting room style seating areas. Throw pillows tossed about adds to the relaxed comfortable environment . Large windows for clear views. 2 windows on each side that open. Beverages in stem glassware. Ability to purchase additional drinks and snacks such as cheese and cracker plate.

You may travel to the bow to experience the sea air and have unobstructed view of skyline and shoreline. Watch out, there is a chance of a fuller experience which may include the spray of the bay waters.

I can't tell you how great this cruise was!! The crew was very friendly and helpful, and the boat was perfect. Not very crowded at all...I believe there was only about 12 of passengers on board, and six were our group.

We went all the way from the Chelsea Piers on the West side down around the tip of Manhattan and up the East Side under the Brooklyn Bridge. On the trip back we went very close to the Statue of Liberty...a great photo opportunity!

    Well worth the money!!!!

fABULOUS! and I'm a NYer. The day started out very cloudy, but miraculously cleared just in time for Mom and me (her B'day). There were only 4 people, but the captain decided to go anyway. Way to go, 'cause it was like having a private yacht, just for us. Lovely wood, brass trimmings, small and intimate boat, the crew of 3 was great, and sang Happy Birthday to mom, and brought up a gorgeous and delish chocolate, strawberry, and blackberry dessert - gratis! Very relaxing 1.5 hours. Haven't seen the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Brooklyn Bridge from a boat for decades. Nice!!
    Go!
PS. You can bring your own picnic lunch on board - we did. Free 1st glass of very decent NY State champagne.

She brought a friend with her that had never been to NYC so I wanted to find something fun for all of us to do. My mom and her friend loved it and it was a great way for all of us to do something fun together. I would definitely go on the Yacht again and highly recommend this to anyone. The view of the city and the drinks on the Yacht are awesome!

There were not really enough seats. Toung men taunting the passengers, and most importantly, there was no explanation of what was being seen. Change it to one star. I would not recommend this cruise.
