Once there, you'll have the opportunity to spend the next three hours exploring this beautiful area, which includes hiking trails, an ice-skating rink, the Trailside Museums and Zoo, Iona Island Estuarine Reserve and Bird Refuge, Perkins Tower, the Merry-Go-Round and pavilion, and the Bear Mountain Inn. The annual Oktoberfest begins September 13, 2014, and offers great German food and beer, live bands and craft vendors. Admission to the festival is free.
