A great sail around the harbor, out to the Statue of Liberty and back. I thought we were going to see the Waterfalls installation, but they were turned off in the evening. The Captain was great and would engage you if you ask questions. I ask a lot and he was informative. A couple of glasses of wine, a quiet summer evening on the water and a view of the city. One note: a snapshot type camera won't do the job in the low light, so just enjoy the trip and buy a postcard later.Written on Dec 29 2008

Description
Experience New York City lights like you never have on this sail past the bright and beautiful borough of Manhattan.
Climbing aboard the Adirondack, an 80 foot pilot schooner, you will quickly forget the mayhem and noise of Manhattan street life as the colors before you paint a picture of the most famous city in the world. You'll take in the famous Manhattan skyline as it was meant to be seen -- from the water. You will also enjoy spectacular views of Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge.
Some of the night's beautifully lit highlights will include:
- Chelsea Piers, a famous stretch of docks on the Hudson
- Battery park, a green haven resting on the southern tip of Mahattan
- Ellis Island, the immigrant doorway to America from 1892 to 1954
- The Statue of Liberty, bearing the torch of America's freedom
They will be shutting off our engines and setting sail for as much of the trip as possible.
Climb aboard the Adirondack and experience the splendor of New York City's nighttime skyline .
What Is Not Included?

About the Ticket Supplier: Classic Harbor Line LLC
Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner.
Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor's Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River.
The 1920s-style motor yacht "Manhattan," also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
