I'm kind of a big deal...

This was a one-of-a-kind way to enjoy the city. Very romantic! The crew was great and we were lucky to have gorgeous weather. The ship had a lot of charm to it and having merlot and champagne was enjoyable too! We got to see all the major buildings and even the GW and Brooklyn bridges. We even came up close to the statue of liberty which was a real highlight. Bring a camera and dress warmly and plan on a memorable evening! Do this event already!

This was a birthday present for my fiance and I'm so glad we did it. It was a perfectly romantic and beautiful trip. The crew was extremely nice and the schooner was amazing as were the beverages provided. It was a little chilly for me, but the crew was prepared and had blankets for those who were cold.

More Details About This Event:

Experience New York City lights like you never have on this sail past the bright and beautiful borough of Manhattan.

Climbing aboard the Adirondack, an 80 foot pilot schooner, you will quickly forget the mayhem and noise of Manhattan street life as the colors before you paint a picture of the most famous city in the world. You'll take in the famous Manhattan skyline as it was meant to be seen -- from the water. You will also enjoy spectacular views of Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge.

Some of the night's beautifully lit highlights will include:
  • Chelsea Piers, a famous stretch of docks on the Hudson
  • Battery park, a green haven resting on the southern tip of Mahattan
  • Ellis Island, the immigrant doorway to America from 1892 to 1954
  • The Statue of Liberty, bearing the torch of America's freedom
Complimentary champagne, wine, beer and soda will be provided. (One quick note: they will serve a few rounds, but it is not an unlimited booze-cruise. They aim to create an elegant, relaxing, peaceful, and safe experience for all of their guests.)

They will be shutting off our engines and setting sail for as much of the trip as possible.

Climb aboard the Adirondack and experience the splendor of New York City's nighttime skyline .

What Is Not Included?
Food is not served during the sail, but please feel free to bring your own picnic!

About Classic Harbor Line LLC:

Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner.

Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor's Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River.

The 1920s-style motor yacht "Manhattan," also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
