Mike DeStefano is one of the busiest up-and-coming comedy stars in the country, recently showcasing at HBO's Aspen Comedy Arts festival, and the prestigous Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Mike DeStefano is a former heroin addict living in Harlem, New York, who eventually became a drug counselor, which naturally led to performing stand up comedy for audiences all over New York City, and now nation - wide. Generally, Mike finds the comedy crowd to be easier to deal with than recovering junkies. Mike's previous life of crime and additions, and living on the streets of the old New York .. it is all fuel for Mike's comedy material. Besides headlining at all the major clubs in New York and LA, Mike has also appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Showtime's White Boyz in the Hood, and Comedy Central's Live at Gotham.
