'60s Girl-Group Vocalist Darlene Love
One of the top acts of the girl-group era and an authentic vocal legend, Darlene Love performed such hits as "Da Doo Ron Ron," "He's a Rebel" and "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)." In the early '60s, Love was one of the famed singers of Phil Spector's hit factory. Recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, she also sang backup for Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, Cher and Elvis Presley in his famed '68 Comeback Special. More recently, her voice has been featured in such films as Love, Actually, and she's graced Broadway stages in Leader of the Pack, Carrie, Grease and Hairspray.
