Take in the crisp autumn air and awesome views of the fall foliage as Circle Line sails up the scenic Hudson River to historic Bear Mountain in upstate New York. Once there, you'll have the opportunity to spend the next three hours exploring this beautiful area, which includes hiking trails, an ice-skating rink, the Trailside Museums and Zoo, Iona Island Estuarine Reserve and Bird Refuge, Perkins Tower, the Merry-Go-Round and pavilion, and the Bear Mountain Inn. The annual Oktoberfest begins September 13, 2014, and offers great German food and beer, live bands and craft vendors. Admission to the festival is free. Donna the Buffalo’s eclectic and often socially conscious music has its base in traditional mountain music and is infused with elements of Cajun/ zydeco, rock, folk, reggae, and country. The group’s core are vocalists Tara Nevins, who plays fiddle, guitar, accordion, and scrubboard, and guitarist Jeb Puryear. Keyboardist Dave McCracken, bassist Kyle Spark, and drummer Vic Stafford complete the ensemble.
