Dudu Nobre: Samba King Brings Brazil to B.B. King Blues Club
Samba -- the very sound of Brazil -- is enjoyed by millions but mastered by very few. Joao Eduardo de Salles Nobre, aka Dudu Nobre, is one of those masters: In fact, he is one of the most respected artists of Brazilian pop, period. Godson of a famous sambista and son of musicians, Nobre was all of five years old when he picked up the Brazilian ukulele, the cavaquinho. He has apparently never put it down in the years since, recording scores of albums and hundreds of songs, including classic hits like "Tempo De Dom-Dom," "Goiabada Cascao" and "A Grande Familia." Savor his unique spin on samba and much more when he comes to play the B.B. King Blues Club.
