THE EVENT IN CONEPT WAS VERY GOOD, THE CHILIS WERE EXCELLENT AND THERE WAS A LARGE VARIETY. THE PROBLEM WAS THE VENUES COULD NOT HOLD THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THAT PARTICIPATED. SOME OF THE PUBS WERE INPENETRABLE, SO YOU HAD TO MOVE ON.GOD DAY BIGGER PUBS!Written on Feb 01 2012

The chili was great and it was well organized overall.
My wife and I met the chef who created 26 of the 30 chili's, great local feel to the whole event.

The East Village Chili & Brews Tour unites some of the greatest downtown bars under one common goal: to ensure no chili-lover goes hungry, and no beer connoisseur is left unsatisfied. This shouldn't be difficult considering 30 different types of chili will be featured along the route, accompanied by plenty of quality seasonal brews. Whether you just want to try a few new chili variations or you're signing up for maximum chili exposure, there's something for everyone! Dress warmly, grab a few hungry friends, and join the tour-de-chili....sure to be a Saturday afternoon well spent.
The Jalapeno Pepper Package includes 10 different tastes from the selection of 30 chilis as well as access to two-for-one beer specials at all of the participating bars!
The Caliente Package includes three seasonaly pints and access to a two for one beer special. Chili taste tickets can be purchased at registration.
The Cayenne Pepper Package includes 12 tastes of chili, 3 pints from a selection of beers and access to all of the 2 for 1 beer specials.
