The Manhattan was and beautiful boat.. and for once Global Warming had a slight positive effect, this late in the season the fall colors were still vibrantly evident. The brunch was plentiful and this from a 6'2", 285 lb man - so i can eat! The crew and captain we not only knowledgeable but friendly making us feel like we were guest on their private yacht not patrons - I would recommend this in a heart beat...

Need to relax and get away from the city but don't have a full weekend to do it? Try this event! My boyfriend and I watched Manhattan fade into the distance as we sipped our mimosas! Then as we got closer to the bursting color of the palasades we began to snack on the fall themed brunch made by our own personal chef which included goat cheese stawberry salad, baked ham, freshly made quiche and let's not forget the pumpkin pie! The boat was impecable and had huge glass windows that allowed us to take in the 360 degree view! This event can be very romantic for couples as you snug in at the bow of the boat or good for singles as we met quite a few and had a great time with! All in all this was a perfect way to bring in the fall weather!

A lovely event.

Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner. Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor's Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River. The 1920s-style motor yacht "Manhattan," also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
