This was a beautiful 4-hour sail up the Hudson River during the height of the Autumn season. We had the most amazing weather ever but I want to suggest layering clothing as it can get chilly and windy on the water even in 65-degree weather. As a NYer, I can say it was a great escape from the city. The crew, Julian and "the Mikes" were especially accommodating. The food was creative; turkey, brie and cranberry sandwiches and caramel apples. They had everything from local beers to wine to hot mulled cider! For anyone who loves the fall season, you should make this sail a tradition.Written on Oct 26 2009

So nice to see the city from the water, and the added bonus of the start of changing leaves made it even better!Written on Oct 25 2011

About the Ticket Supplier: Classic Harbor Line LLC
Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner.
Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor's Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River.
The 1920s-style motor yacht "Manhattan," also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
