Vocalist Prentiss McNeil of The Drifters and Bruce "Big Daddy" Wayne from Wilson Pickett's Midnight Movers head up this high-energy salute to the best R&B music of the classic soul era. Get ready to groove to hits from greats like "The Godfather" and "Queen" of Soul -- James Brown and Aretha Franklin -- not to mention Motown and Stax artists galore. From Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder to the Jackson 5 and Sam & Dave, you'll hear the best tunes from the genre's most popular artists performed live on stage. McNeil performed for close to 30 years with doo-wop group The Drifters, who were known for classics like "Save the Last Dance for Me," "Some Kind of Wonderful," "Under the Boardwalk" and "Up on the Roof." Our table was front left of the stage and a music stand on the stage limited our ability to see the performer. The large screens, which were located to the right and left sides of the stage, were so fuzzy that we chose to only view them when absolutely necessary. The performance was good but the audience came alive when Ms Payne sang her hit " Band of Gold". We looked for copies of the CD for purchasing but there were none available. I ordered sliders and my husband had a crab cake both dishes were so-so. I request Harvey's Bristol Cream neat and was told they never heard of it so I settled for a Riesling. The table was wobbly and the seats were cramped together tightly. Fortunately, we used the rest rooms before being seated or we could have never have been able to get out.
