Rocky, the massively popular movie about the ultimate underdog is now a triumphant Broadway event that's "unlike anything you've ever seen in the theater," according to NBC. In downtown Philadelphia, a down-and-out boxer is struggling to get by when the chance of a lifetime comes along. He doesn't have long to get back in fighting shape, but if he does it, this could be his best shot to become a champion, and his last chance for love. This innovative stage production is brought to life by a five-time Tony Award-winning creative team and Sylvester Stallone, writer and star of the Academy Award-winning Rocky films. Featuring 20 original songs, plus hits from the films ("Eye of the Tiger" and "Gonna Fly Now"), Rocky is not only an adrenaline-fueled spectacle for anyone who was a fan of the movie, but it's also a surprising tale of romance that will touch the hearts of longtime musical theater fans. I loved the venue- we had the 'worst' seats of the house- back balcony- but still had a clear view from every seat. The sets were amazing, especially good night moon- we had kids ranging from 2-6 and i would say it was geared more for the 2-4 yo age range. overall, very good and perfect length of time.

Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia (the company behind the black light puppet production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar) returns with its adaptation of Margaret Wise Brown and Clement Hurd’s bedtime classics, Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny. Whimsical puppetry, dreamlike imagery, and original music bring a new sense of appreciation to these stories that have delighted generations.
