Great show! Our kids (ages 4 and 7) loved it--they especially loved the dancers. The format was very good; the pre-show activities were fun. The band was phenomenal. Great fun for all ages.Written on Apr 13 2010

The event was very informative (educational) and entertaining. Definitely a good event for preteens and older kids as well as adults that are new to jazz. I would definitely attend future events such as this.Written on Apr 12 2010

Description
More than just a great bandleader and master percussionist, Tito Puente was the Latin jazz bandleader for over four decades, freely mixing jazz and Cuban music into a strong, spicy concoction. Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra bassist Carlos Henriquez—an alumnus of Puente’s own orchestra— and friends will demonstrate why Mr. Puente was called “El Rey de Salsa” and the “King of Mambo.” Featured guests include students from JALC’s Middle School Jazz Academy and a pair of Latin dancers.
