Very friendly crowd and staff, small venue, enjoyable smooth jazz, lots of people in music industry in the crowd. They recommended coming on Thursday open mic nights when some great musicians often stop by.

October 2: Irini Res

Born on the island of Chios, one of the many beautiful Greek islands in the Aegean sea, Irini grew up speaking and singing in Greek. As a very young girl she was soon speaking and singing in English. Her discovery of jazz (Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Astrud Gilberto, Nana Cayimi) combined with an aptitude for other languages has shaped her repetoire, which also includes songs performed in Portuguese and Spanish.

October 6: Classy Joint *

Classy Joint is the funkiest band in New York City and the only ensemble bringing meticulously dissected, turn-the-bass-up loud, funky music. Smell the oil from the Hammond…. mmm that’s good!!

October 20: Shaynee Rainbolt

A unique and gifted storyteller with a sumptuous tone and instrumentally oriented jazz chops, Shaynee swings, scats, croons and connects with every word. An entertainer singing music from all eras, with a mix of warm nostalgia and present-day excitement that is appealing to young and old alike.

October 29: W. Lee Hogans

Trumpeter and composer W. Lee Hogans is currently touring with Hip Hop legend Jay-Z, who recently performed at the inauguration of President Barack Obama. He is a band member of the legendary pop icon Prince and played with him at the 2008 Academy Awards/Oscars Party. Lee toured with media mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ on the Press Play World Tour, with Hidden Beach Recording Artist Jill Scott in the U.S and Europe during her 2008 “The Real Thing” Tour. Lee is persistently cultivating his sound and skill as a trumpeter and composer leading his own band, Pursuance, who completed their debut album The Vibe Orientation.
