Once there, you'll have the opportunity to spend the next three hours exploring this beautiful area, which includes hiking trails, an ice-skating rink, the Trailside Museums and Zoo, Iona Island Estuarine Reserve and Bird Refuge, Perkins Tower, the Merry-Go-Round and pavilion, and the Bear Mountain Inn. The annual Oktoberfest begins September 13, 2014, and offers great German food and beer, live bands and craft vendors. Admission to the festival is free. Excellent venue for a music event. The band played upstairs. Bars and concessions available on board, as are restrooms. Seating is limited, so get there early. Seating is available downstairs and upstairs. The seating upstairs is next to the band and is covered. Standing area is not covered.

Singer-pianist Marcia Ball knows how to raise roofs and tear down walls with her infectious, intelligent and deeply emotional brand of southern boogie, rollicking, roadhouse blues and heartfelt ballads. Over the course of her 40-year career, Ball has earned a huge and intensely loyal following all over the world.
