Marcus Simeone has done several award winning shows in the past. He possesses one of the purest voices in the business. However, in this new show, he has really found his identity and has done the best show of his life! Beautifully produced and arranged with superb musicians (including a back up singer) every selection is a major winner, from the tender ballads ("Alone Again Naturally" by Gilbert O'Sulivan) to the rocking "Brazil" (both on his CD), but lots of unusual ballads and rhythm songs. He is doing this show every month at the Metropolitan and this is his major crossover show into the big time so don't miss it!Written on Aug 04 2008

Legendary songwriter and producer Jason Darrow, known most notably for producing and introducing Jane Olivor (as well as working with Johnny Mathis, Bette Midler, Gilbert Becaud, and more), delivers the new show by celebrated young singer Marcus Simeone to the Metropolitan Room. The show will feature new songs by Jason Darrow, Stephen Schwartz, David Zippel, Heather Sullivan and others.
Since his sensational cabaret debut , Marcus has emerged as one of the most celebrated singers to grace the stages of Manhattan’s nightclubs since the days of Streisand and the Bon Soir. Universally regarded for his heart-wrenching interpretations of ballads, red-hot jazz sensibility, and powerful pop flair; Simeone's musical genius is in evidence on his original material as well. Marcus Simeone is both a singer and a songwriter. His haunting, multi-octave voice has been compared to many greats including, Al Jarreau, Marc Anthony, and Johnny Mathis. After having staged nearly a dozen distinct shows over the past five years, Marcus has received multiple awards from the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs and Back Stage among his many accolades. Simeone's new live CD was released in October of 2007 on the Miranda Music label.
