I can't think of a better way to enjoy 10 kinds of sushi and 4 sakes than aboard this beautiful vessel! Kudos to the friendly, professional crew who served us so adeptly. A very, very nice experience indeed!Written on Jul 28 2009

This definitely can be a booze cruise if you keep asking for beer, they come around pretty frequently asking to refill your wine/beer. I think my bf had 4 beers and asked for more sake than he should have although they only come around 3 times and do not refill. the sushi is good but its not morimoto good, but u are on a boat you aren't in the restaurant - so you can't complain! If you like soy sauce, you won't taste the soy sauce on the sushi. the crew is great and very accomodating! they also bring around blankets. it was a great, very beautiful and unique experience - will def give you a different perspective of nyc.Written on Sep 01 2009

I took a Japanese guest on this cruise for his birthday, and it exceeded expectations. Ten different offerings of sushi were provided, along with four different kinds of saki. The staff was efficient and professional, and filled requests for additional saki, beer, wine, or soda quickly. Two representatives of the restaurant that provided the sushi, Morimoto, were on board to present and serve it. The crew handled the sails as though born to it. This is the ultimate anti-party boat, nontouristy experience I have come to expect from Classic Harbor Lines: no music but the wind and the sails, no narration, clear instructions about how to avoid the boom, first-rate food and drink, and friendly knowledgeable staff who behave like they enjoy every minute and want to share it with you. Don't hesitate--the sushi was impeccably fresh, beautiful, and tasty.Written on Jun 23 2009

AMAZING! From start to finish! It was a beautiful night and sunset with a happy, laid back, attentive crew. The sushi was delicious as expected and the drinks were flowing. I've been on the schooner before and this was definitely my favorite cruise. Congratulations again to the people that got engaged! I want more Morimoto! I'll be patiently waiting until next summer :-)Written on Aug 25 2009

Description
This limited series of sails features NYC's most renowned sushi purveyor, Iron Chef Morimoto, and cool refreshing assorted sake, served on the decks of New York's most elegant schooner for a sunset sail.
The menu includes a wide variety of the very best of Morimoto's sushi and rolls - all served in an elegant, passed fashion while the ship sets sail for the New York Harbor. Classic Harbor Line and Morimoto have taken special steps to ensure that the sushi is served in the freshest means possible for this event: It is prepared just minutes before boarding, stored in special coolers and served within the first hour of your sail.
Some illuminated views along the way will include:
- The New York City Skyline
- Battery Park, a 20 acre park at the southern tip of Manhattan, where artillery has been stationed over the centuries
- Ellis Island, the immigrant doorway to America from 1892 to 1954
- The Statue of Liberty, a French gift that arrived in New York harbor in 1885 and has come to represent our nation's freedom and ideals
Assorted cold sakes (including an organic Junmai Ginjo and a sparkling sake), champagne, wine, beer and soda will be provided. (One quick note: they will serve a few rounds, but it is not an unlimited booze-cruise. Classic Harbor Line aims to create an elegant, relaxing, peaceful, and safe experience for all guests.)
Step aboard Classic Harbor Line's elegant schooner for this limited sushi and sake sailing experience against the New York Harbor's setting sun!
About the Ticket Supplier: Classic Harbor Line LLC
Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner.
Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor's Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River.
The 1920s-style motor yacht "Manhattan," also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
