Fantastic experience! GO GO GO!

Fantastic experience! GO GO GO!

I enjoyed this cruise very much. It was informative without being "touristy" (as in, it explained a bit of history and such but not so much that I felt like it was more information than a long time NYC area resident would be interested in), they did point out some interesting landmarks but didn't talk endlessly about anything.

I do think I would have enjoyed seeing the waterfalls at night, as it appears from photos that at least the waterfall under the Brooklyn Bridge is lit up at night, but they only offer this tour in the afternoon.

They give you a free glass of champagne as well a refill somewhere along the way (one of the crew members actually came outside to refill our glasses which was really nice). They also offer some other drinks and beer, although you have to pay for anything beyond the champagne. It was rainy the day we went so I'd recommend bringing a poncho or jacket if you want to be outside and it looks like it might be less than perfect weather.

I wouldn't call this a "romantic" cruise, and it seems child friendly (as there were some people there with young children). It's a nice quick way to see all the waterfalls as well as some other NYC area landmarks (ellis island, statue of liberty, etc).

You won't get closer to the waterfalls! And a fantastic view of the Statue of Liberty too! This cruise is worth every penny, in fact, I'd do it again. The boat is clean and the staff are friendly. The champagne was a nice touch.
