This was such a fabulous experience! I'm a local of NYC and I *love* to be on the water, so when I saw that there was an opportunity to participate in a regatta race I was thrilled! Captain Peter, Tom, and the rest of the crew were *so* good to us. The weather was perfect, the included lunch was delicious, and it was wonderful to be sailing with a glass of champagne (or three!) on my birthday! I couldn't have asked for a better time. I'll definitely bring my out of town friends on the 'regular' sail, and I'm tempted to just go myself whenever the mood strikes!Written on Oct 14 2007

What an incredible experience - being part of a regatta!! Something we usually only get to see on television. We purchased the tickets thinking we'd be spectators and never dreamed we would be in the race. It was exhilirating! The captain and crew were gracious and accomodating and even found time to serve drinks and lunch while they were sailing the schooner. I can't say enough good things about this experience.Written on Oct 09 2007

About the Ticket Supplier: Classic Harbor Line LLC
Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner.
Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor's Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River.
The 1920s-style motor yacht "Manhattan," also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
