Whether you know her from R&B Hall of Famers Patti LaBelle & the Bluebelles, her stint with '70s funk-rockers Labelle -- the group responsible for the original single "Lady Marmalade (Voulez Vous Coucher Avec Moi Ce Soir?)," or her acclaimed solo career, pop-soul-funk-rock vocalist Nona Hendryx has been making hits for some 50 years. A New Jersey native, Hendryx's distinctively husky alto has taken her from her early days singing doo-wop through the funk and disco eras and through to today. Along with collaborations with the likes of Prince, Peter Gabriel, Lenny Kravitz, Brian Eno, Wyclef Jean and others, Hendryx has racked up a number of solo hits, including "Busting Out," "I Sweat (Going Through the Motions)" and "Transformation."

Nona Hendryx still has the voice and the moves from her LaBelle days. She looks great and is in top form. Nona gave a great show and even was gracious enough to sign cds and give out autographs at the end of the show. I would highly recommend you see her the next time she is in New York.
