We had a lovely time. The cruise was very intimate, and everyone aboard was very jovial (particularly as more and more beer was consumed!) Additionally, the crew was extremely courteous and helpful - everyone was dedicated to making sure that we had a really nice evening. Heavenly! This must to be most romatic thing to do in the city. It was simply magical, the crew was amazing! AMAZING! and the beer reps were very friendly and infomative. The cheese was paired nicely with the beer and the fun was simply endless.Written on Jun 16 2010
The view of the sun dipping behind the statue of liberty is something I will never forget, stunning!
The crew was fun and laid back and even though there was a few folks on the cruise I felt as if it was just me and my love.
Long review short, do this!

This was a great event! My sister and I took our Dad for father's day and it was a perfect experience! We all loved it and the crew was really great and answered all of our questions and the beer came from the KELSO brewery which was amazing and the guys from the brewery were very informative and entertaining! The NY State Beer and Cheese Pairing Sail is an adventurous 2-hour sail aboard a classic pilot schooner!! As you sail aboard one of these beautiful vessels through New York Harbor, you will be treated to five different beers paired with five New York State Cheeses!
This event includes:
* A 2-hour sail aboard one of two classic sailboats: the Schooner Adirondack or Adirondack III.
* 5 New York State craft brews, as they are expertly paired with 5 specially chosen New York State farmstead cheeses.
* A special guest host from a local brewery (such as Coney Island Craft Brews, Kelso, Keegan Ales & Fire Island Brews) to share insight, history and beer-making tales.
* Exquisite views from the Hudson River and New York Harbor!
Some of the sites you'll see along the way will include the New York City skyline, Battery Park, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty!
Sit back and relax as the crew serves you and you take in the views of Manhattan while tasting some NY State's best brews and cheeses at sunset!
About the Ticket Supplier: Classic Harbor Line LLC
Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner.
Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor's Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River.
The 1920s-style motor yacht "Manhattan," also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
