Join in the fun as a brave family embarks on a quest to find a bear. Kids of all ages will delight in the catchy songs, interactive scenes and hands-on adventure. Just like the book, We're Going on a Bear Hunt takes you through gigantic swishy-swashy grass, a splishy-splashy river and thick, oozy, squelchy mud. The book's author Michael Rosen was a British Children's Laureate and has written 140 books, including Hairy Tales and Nursery Crimes, Little Rabbit Foo Foo and Michael Rosen's Sad Book, a Boston Globe-Horn Book Awards winner. Your whole family will enjoy this magical comedic romp through a modern-day children's classic. Learn More
Join Harlem's Hue-Man Bookstore and Touch One Events for a unique book event. The one-hour dramatization will be directed by Ozzie Jones, who has directed for Ntozake Shange. Following the stage performance will be a round table discussion with the authors and celebrities which will fully engage the audience. The moderator of this discussion is Lisa Cortes who was executive producer on the award-winning film Precious.
Page to Stage will benefit the Melvin Van Peebles Foundation to promote literacy. The event is sponsored in part by Iman Cosmetics, Symphony Space, A-Loft, Carib News and Alphabet Kids.
