While on the debut album “Bacharach Bossa Club," produced by legend Roberto Menescal, one of the Bossa Nova fathers, Patty Ascher contributed with lovely bossa nova performances of some of Bacharach's greatest hits. The CD was the best selling in UOL Portal (the largest internet portal in Latin America), and Patty has since performmed 42 shows in 16 months.

The artist came up with the idea of recording Jazz 'n' Samba while she was touring with Michel Legrand in October 2008, in Brazil. This unique experience of sharing the stage with Mr. Legrand encouraged and inspired her to record a new album with her own songs.
Jazz 'n' Samba mixes Portuguese and English lyrics, and features arrangements from 10 most important Brazilian conductors: Dori Caymmi, Roberto Menescal, Eduardo Lages and others.
Patty Ascher’s second album will be launched in Aug 2009, and soon will be available for licensing.
