Teena Marie gave a performance that many of todays pop and R&B girls need to take notice of. Glad that someone is *still* doing real music and fluff.

Teena's performance was great. However, I would never go to another performance at BB Kings Blues Club. The seating was horrible. The performance started at 8pm. I wanted to have dinner with the show, so I called BB Kings to find out what time I needed to get there. I was told to get there between 4:30pm-4:45pm to secure a ticket for reserved seating, as that is when they would start handing out the tickets for dinner/show seating. I arrived at 4:30 as instructed only to find out that the tickets were distributed at 3pm. Once we got in and got seated, we were sat at a table that could comfortably fit no more than 6 people, however the manager insisted on sitting 10 people at the table, which meant that the 2 people on the end were sitting in the isle, which is a safety/fire hazard. The manager was nasty to us (2 of us). I observed his same nasty attitude with other guests at other tables that had the same issue with their seating. The food, was not good...I wasn't expecting great food, but it was truly not worth the price along with the service which was horrible (slow, wrong orders, several pieces of dirty silverware).

For nearly three decades, pint sized, soul-stirring songstress and four-time Grammy nominated singer Teena Marie has been an undeniable force in contemporary pop and R&B. As a singer, songwriter, accomplished producer and arranger, she’s captured the hearts and spirits of millions of fans around the world with her versatility and style.
Teena Marie’s storied journey to music superstardom blazed a path of musical empowerment admired by artists from all genres. Signed to her dream label -- Motown Records -- at age 19, her magic would become fully developed under the tutelage of the legendary Rick James. Her 1979 debut Wild and Peaceful, produced by James, garnered a #8 R&B single with “I’m a Sucker for Your Love.” One year later, her second and third albums, Lady T and Irons in the Fire produced the hit classics “Behind the Groove” and “I Need Your Loving,” respectively. Ms. Marie also took creative control of her projects by this time, and in 1981, released the platinum-selling It Must Be Magic which featured the up-tempo “Square Biz” and slow jam “Portuguese Love.”
Teena Marie signed to Epic Records in 1983, and went on to record five more albums throughout the late eighties and early nineties, including Starchild and the hit single “Lovergirl” and Naked to the World, which features one of her seminal hits, “Ooo La La La.” Ms. Marie independently released Passion Play on her own Sarai Records in 1994, but it wasn’t until ten years later that she would again share her talent with the world. As the sole artist signed to Cash Money Classics, the subsidiary of New Orleans rap entity Cash Money Records, Teena Marie released the successful La Doña in 2004, which yielded the Grammy-nominated #1 hit “Still In Love.”
