the boat left late and returned earlier....it was impossible to see much since it wasn't allowed to come closer...by the time we got the closest possible, which was on the way back, I believe that the show was over...So I would definitely not recommend this event, it is waste of time and money. Besides if you came by car, you also have to pay for parking which is at least $20.00.Written on Jul 07 2010

Just saw this trip advertised before we headed of from the UK and thought it would be a good chance to get on the water, see the city and take in the planes.Written on Jul 03 2010
Not very organised as wasn't clear where to collect the tickets - you actually just had to join the line and then give your name when boarding. Boat did leave late but was waiting for late arrivals. We grabbed two chairs and headed to top deck which become quite crowded naturally. Eventually they realised that too many people were on top and once you went down you then had to queue to get back up as it was a case of one down then one up! They didnt tell you this so I nipped to the loo and then 30-40mins later was able to retake my seat! Boat didnt get that close to planes and would have been better off on Ellis Island and right next to them. Toilet i went to was also a disgrace even though it was only at the beginning of the trip. For the money it was ok but could have been better organised and would not do it again.

Boat left 20 minutes late and arrived back 20 minutes early, which was fine considering from the way out boat was angled, we saw maybe 2 planes the entire hour and a half we were sitting there.I will never do this again.Written on Jun 21 2010

You know what's awesome? Being on a boat and having planes whizz by. So why would anyone wanna go stand in a crowded park and watch when you can live out your Lonely Island fantasies and create your own "I’m on a Boat" video!
This is going to be aboard the Harbor Lights - a brand new boat to the Rocks Off fleet and features an enormous totally open top deck offering unobstructed views of the races. A DJ will be rocking some tunes, and of course full bar and food will be available for purchase.
This cruise is three-and-a-half hours on the river catching the best part of New York City's first-ever Red Bull Air Race. This is an all-ages cruise, so whether you're 7 or 70 and you dig boats, planes and good times, this cruise is definitely for you!
