Written on Sep 14 2010The view was spectacular, and the crowd was convivial. It seemed to me that no one wanted to be outside, so were all stuffed onto the deck, enjoying the sunshine. I could barely hear the music above the chatter. But, it was a very gracious way to attend a ball game, and I really like the idea of traveling by water.
The only critique I have is that lack of adequate signing, to find the boat itself. We walked up and down FDR drive, at the port, looking for a sign, and saw nothing. Our numbers grew, and like Moses, we wandered around for what seemed like years. We finally asked a parking attendant (the only person around who wasn't looking for the boat). He gave some guidance, and we found the doorway, which was tucked back, and out of sight from the street. They carded everyone, so be sure to bring your ID.
Written on Aug 17 2010The boat took off about 45 minutes late so we walked into Citi just as the game was starting. The music was loud and deff not so good plus one of the speakers kept buzzing. Despite this, it was a fun and different way to get to the game. I would recommend this for the views alone.
Written on Aug 02 2010I had a really good time. Fun way to get to the game if you go with a group of friends and the weather is nice.
Written on Aug 02 2010Got tickets for $10 from Goldstar and it was a great way to get to the game. Gorgeous views of the city, plenty of alcohol and even food if you're really starving (nothing fancy, but they give you plenty for $8). They had two enclosed decks plus an open-air level. Not too crowded so you could actually find seats (upstairs was more crowded, but not so much that you couldn't move). Beats a taxi or subway ride.
