With a varied repertoire that ranges from Brel to Bucchino, Sheera Ben-David is a hard act to follow. With her brother Adam Ben-David on piano, as music director and arranger, this makes for a very special evening. A few years ago, Sheera put her love of Jacques Brel's music into an album. She then brought her passion to the source and performed to a sold-out crowd in Brussels, Belgium, the home of Brel.

Sheera Ben-David was brought up in a very musical family. Her mother, a contralto, was a principal singer at The Metropolitan Opera for 24 years and her father was the first person to receive a Doctorate in Voice from The Juilliard School. Sheera began singing at a very early age and was lucky to have her brother Adam accompany her on the piano throughout her childhood. Adam went on to study piano and composition following in his parent’s footsteps, at The Juilliard School.
Sheera, is a graduate of the NYU-TISCH School of the Performing Arts where she studied musical theatre and acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory. She has spent the greater part of her life performing: In 1993, a selection of Gershwin songs at The Caramoor Festival called “ A Gershwin Morning”; a full solo concert at Merkin Hall; cabaret sets of Standards and Jazz songs at various clubs around Manhattan, such as The Triad, and many benefits and events.
