Shinsai: Theaters for Japan Honors Victims of Japanese Earthquakes Through Art
To commemorate the first anniversary of the earthquake that devastated Japan, theatre groups from around the world are participating in a one-day only event to assist the Japanese theater community affected by the disaster. Shinsai: Theaters for Japan
features a menu of 10-minute plays commissioned by major American and Japanese artists, including Philip Kan Gotanda, Yoji Sakate and Suzan-Lori Parks. A selection of these works will be presented through staged readings. Come out and support a great cause, while also enjoying top-notch works from acclaimed artists, at this unique event.
