One of the founding members of the influential '70s Jamaican vocal group Black Uhuru, Don Carlos is a true roots reggae pioneer, born and raised in the Waterhouse section of Western Kingston. He teamed up with sidekick Goldie in the '80s, releasing more than a dozen solo discs. Those albums spawned a string of dance-hall hits, among them "Late Night Blues Nice Time Tonight," "Dice Cup," "Hog & Goat," "I'm Not Getting Crazy," "Spread Out" and more. Now in his fifth decade of performing, Carlos continues to tour, spreading the good vibes as he goes.
