Event Highlights
More Details About This Event: Julie's family arrived in east Tennessee when she was very young, and growing up in a solar-powered glass house, she learned her lessons about hypocrisy early. Julie spent several years in Dallas, TX, where she was active in the local theatre scene, and since moving to New York has been just as active in the local temping scene, with heralded performances at Loews, Playboy, and most recently the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (NB: they distribute money).
Her first foray into television landed Julie an eDiets commercial, and she considers the high-five at the end to be the culmination of many years of intensive study of the craft of acting. Julie is blind in one eye, enjoys reality TV, prefers red wine, and remains ambivalent about Tasti D-Lite. Her husband of four years absolutely refuses to get a dog, even a small one. She is making her cabaret debut at the Metropolitan Room. About Metropolitan Room: The Metropolitan Room is housed in a landmark 1898 building. This vintage space now plays host to an updated take on the idea of a music club, combining state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems with old-world charm and style. Similar to the high-end equipment used in concert halls, these systems fill the room with crisp, clear sound to generate unparalleled cabaret and jazz performances. |
