The Harlem Gospel Choir, the most famous gospel choir in America and one of the preeminent gospel choirs worldwide, brings the music of Harlem and the black church to Times Square in a joyous celebration of high-energy, hand-clapping singing and dancing. Made up of the finest singers and musicians from Harlem's black churches and the New York/Tri-State area, the choir strives to create a better understanding of African-American culture and make the world a more loving and peaceful place. Allen Bailey was inspired to create the choir in 1986 after attending a celebration at Harlem's Cotton Club in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. That inspiration can be felt in the music today, as the choir's uplifting songs of hope touch the soul and raise the spirit. Great band. First time i have seen them. Instrumentation was right on and sounded fantastic. Played all the songs you would want to hear by The Dan. (and some obscurities as well). Good time had by all. Nice venue. (BB KINGS).

great 13 people band!
sounds exactly like the original, with all the nuances,
include the trumpet, saxophone and the singers voices.
Great Great show!
Only in "Rikki don't lose that number" the bass (which
is essential to this wonderful song) was not dominant enough,
but except that, it was all perfect.
The place:
B.B. King is a great place, in a great location, but the food & drinks
a little bit pricy. The service of all the employees was excellent,
from the doorman to the waitress.
