Written on Aug 02 2011There were 6 comedian and a great host/mc. Small venue can seat up to 70 or so but all seats have you up front and personal with the comedians. Some were really great and others not so much but that is really a matter of personal taste. It was a fun night and I would definitely do it again!
Written on Jul 11 2011Awesomely funny. Started a little late, but all except one comic was great.
Written on May 30 2011it was a bit long but the comedy was mostly good. make sure you eat before hand so you don't have to pay extra for food. it's 3 hours! :)
Written on Mar 07 2011I would put this in the bucket of "Finding a Real NY bargain". Regardless of your income, You cannot pass up a nice night out with friends at Sunday Night Live...this is a deal (standard 2-drink minimum). In addition, the drinks are not all that expensive (for a comedy club - hey...they also have to pay the rent too!) The cheapest beverage was soda or bottled water @ $5, then the alcoholic drinks are a few dollars more. I don't frequent comedy clubs because you may run the risk of seeing the same person working on their material, but I certainly enjoy a good laugh. Allow yourself to be entertained. Know that the comedians are CONSTANTLY working hard to perfect their punchlines. And it seems that Sunday Night Live is a good opportunity to feel out the public and see how they react. Some have perfected their lines, while others need more work. But you have to remember not all comedians will appeal to YOUR sense of humor (assuming you have one). They will definitely try to make you laugh. We were a party of 8, and we could have kept going all night if they allowed it. Give it a try. THANK YOU GOLDSTAR!
