Symphony Space presents a screening of the hilarious weekly news quiz from NPR and Chicago Public Radio, Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! Normally you can only experience the show via the radio or if you can manage to attend a live taping. This month, the show is doing a live taping that will be screened in select cinemas around the country to give fans the opportunity to see the faces behind the voices we've come to know and love. Each week on the radio, host Peter Sagal along with sidekick Carl Kasell and company take a fast-paced, irreverent look at the week's events while a talented array of guest panelists compete in game show-style challenges to earn points to see who will be declared this week's winner. Guest panelists for the screening are stand-up comedian Paula Poundstone, political satirist Mo Rocca and radio personality Tom Bodett. They will be joined for the "Not My Job" segment by celebrity guest Steve Martin. Learn More

Description
Seattle-based jazz musicians Chuck Deardorf and Dave Peterson, along with their fellow group members, come to Symphony Space for a one-night only performance. All About Jazz describes the group as “an updated brand of West Coast cool, by way of the Northwest.” Alternately reflective and fiery, the Deardorf/Peterson Group swings a late-night set, which will include a performance of "That's the Deal," the new theme song for Selected Shorts, Symphony Space’s literary series.
